It is either from my own experiance or what I have learned on my journey. It is either from my own experiance or what I have learned on my journey. It is either from my own experiance or what I have learned on my journey. When I spoke to the DWP on the phone he said yes I’ve been entitled since April 2016 and when I asked about back dating he said it’ll get back dated but he said he wasn’t sure from when it’ll be backdated and suggested 3 months but I said that’s only for benefits and this is a premium so he said he really doesn’t know.
They should of automatically added this on to my money but the application over the phone was asking about if I have a carer and does anyone live with me but they should already have this info. Sam, I think it would be appreciated if you would keep all your posts to the one thread, as it makes it a lot easier for everyone to follow where you are with your problem.
I am just seeing if anyone one else has claimed it so long afterwards and received backpay. There is nothing 'automatic' about this benefit payment you're seeking, regardless of whether it's a 'Premium' or not, it's a Qualified Benefit Payment, that's why they sent you the Form(s) - to see if you Qualify! From the fact: That you failed to return the first of those forms, the DWP are quite entitled to assume (you knew) you didn't qualify at that time - or, you weren't particularly bothered about the payment. This is why you may have difficulty getting backdating all the way back to that point and why I suggested getting the help of an adviser if that does happen, as they will be a lot more competent in explaining the situation in seeking the full backdate. You don’t have to wait for the three-month qualifying period to get Personal Independence Payment (PIP).You’ll automatically qualify for the enhanced rate of the PIP daily living component.
